Black Elephant Vintners

We are not just a brand; we are a movement. A movement that believes in breaking the rules and defying conventions, while still paying homage to the art of winemaking. Franschhoek, a place of unrivalled natural beauty, is our home. It’s a place where tradition meets innovation, and the past meets the present. We are inspired by the spirit of this place, and we want to share it with the world.

Brookdale Estate

Situated in a tranquil valley under the Klein Drakenstein mountains, Brookdale is surrounded by a world rich with life and beauty. Brookdale extends over 80 hectares, with 27 planted to vine and the remainder left to revert to its natural habitat. Since the Rudd family began their stewardship of Brookdale, all alien vegetation has been cleared, valleys have been re-planted with 3600 indigenous trees and mountain slopes re-seeded with wild Cape fynbos and flowers. Bird and animal life are as rich and abundant. Every season brings different moods, different hues and different lives

Brunia Wines

Wade Sander began his career as an assistant winemaker at Mullineux & Leeu before purchasing Brunia with his viticulturist brother, Brett, in 2016. Together, they’ve transformed the farm into a mixed organic and biodynamic operation. The conversion has required lower yields, but reflects their belief that exceptional wines begin with exceptional grapes. Brunia is now one of the Western Cape’s most ambitious projects, and though production is small, the wines are already earning strong acclaim.

Bruwer Vintners

Stellenbosch-based cousins Gavin Bruwer and Bruwer Raats always keep their minds on the future. So much so that, in 2014, they combined their youth and experience to create B Vintners Vine Exploration Co. – a wine range that grants them an opportunity to explore the vines together within the Cape Winelands.

“We’re storytellers, always eager to honour our Cape heritage and historically-linked varieties. However, there are learnings to be taken from the past too, and it is important to incorporate these lessons today in order to produce finer wine for tomorrow’s wine drinkers,” Gavin Bruwer

Harry Hartman Wine Company

Harry Hartman is a group of friends obsessed with wine who have deep and passionate love for the Cape, it’s terroir’s and the talents and characters of her people. All of which has inspired us to showcase and share with our friends here and around the World what we believe to be some of the Cape’s most extraordinary wines. We plan to always be a boutique styled operation, creating small, impeccably crafted wine batches. For our launch we have chosen to make a Bordeaux styled red blend from Stellenbosch and a Shiraz from Cederberg and Stellenbosch

Kara Tara Wines

At Kara-Tara we focus on hand-crafting Pinot Noir and Chardonnay—classic Burgundian varietals—from cool-climate vineyards in the Western Cape. Our mission is to make elegant wines which are modern in profile—fresh and redolent of vibrant fruit. By sourcing premium grapes from diverse cool-climate regions such as Elgin, Overberg, Durbanville, and Stellenbosch, we aim to showcase the potential and quality of South Africa’s top grape growing sites. Carefully considered vineyard variables such as soil type, elevation, microclimate, and rainfall inform the winemaking process. The hand-harvested grapes are vinified at our cellar in Stellenbosch; crafted using traditional methods, with minimal intervention and careful barrel maturation in French oak.

Lalela Wine Co

Lalela in Zulu simply means “Come Listen” and is a project from winemaking power couple Wade Sander and Natasha Williams. The venture aims to tell the untold story of all of the people in South Africa and their influence and participation across the four hundred years of winemaking history in South Africa. Through each bottle of wine Lalela shares stories and reflections of the Cape Winelands inspired by the people, traditions, and heritage. Wade and Natasha have used their combined two decades of experience to source exceptional fruit from across the Western Cape that they process at their shared facility in the Hemel en Aarde Valley.

Lelie Van Saron

Natasha Williams has a day job making wine for Hasher but she also has her own label where she finds and vinifies the finest parcels of cool climate fruit in the valley.

Lievland Wines

Lievland Vineyards was acquired by MAN Family Wines in 2017. José Conde and Tyrrel Myburgh, co-founders of MAN, had been on the lookout for the perfect farm to base their growing wine business. What they didn’t anticipate was that they would fall in love with a “sleeping beauty” of a farm, much in need of restoration. The charming but overgrown estate was hiding in plain sight along the Route 45, a winding road leading out of Stellenbosch which is dotted with well-known wineries. Lievland had a track record of producing stellar wines, but had been lying dormant for over a decade. Undeterred by the enormity of the task, the team at MAN set about restoring the integrity of the vineyards in order to realize the goal of making world-class wines.

MAN Family Wines

The MAN project became a collaboration with the grape growers, and today they are shareholders in our company. We are very lucky to be in partnership with experienced farmers who collectively grow some of the best old-vine Chenin Blanc in the country. I’m really positive about the potential of South African wines in the world market.

"From the beginning, we focused on looking for the best grapes"

Minimalist Wines

After 3 harvests with three icons of the South African wine industry (Lukas Van Loggerenberg, Chris Alheit and De Morgenzon’s Carl van der Merwe) Sam Lambson immediately set up his own label and knocked it out the park from the very first vintage! Focussing on Syrah, but experimenting with other varietals, Minimalist is one to watch.

Mvemve & Raats (MR)

The product of a friendship between Mzokana Mvemve and Bruwer Raats. A five-varietal Bordeaux blend with each component rigorously selected for it's quality. This Cape Bordeaux Blend combines Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Merlot and Petit Verdot from granite and sandstone soils. It offers expressive aromas of blackberry, cassis, violets, cherry tobacco, plum, cedar and oyster shell. The palate is concentrated, vibrant and beautifully focused, with bright acidity, refined extraction and polished tannins.
Powerful yet harmonious, it is a timeless classic that showcases South Africa’s exceptional terroir and winemaking.

New Dawn

South Africa's NEW DAWN represents Rüdger's leap of faith. Into the unknown, into the darkness. It marks the beginning of his evolution as a founder, winemaker, and owner of a South African wine brand. It signals the evolution of the South African wine industry. And Rüdger stands as a catalyst for this NEW CAPE movement. NEW DAWN is wine as expression. As a signal. As something worth talking about. New Dawn embodies the fearless spirit and culture. Fresh perspectives and exceptional drive finally create on their own

Normandie Est. 1693

Toto Advance Our Honour produces wines. Wineshonourwineswineshonourwines, Normandie Est. 1693, is one of the original twenty-nine French Huguenot-settled farms in the Franschhoek region of the Cape Winelands. Our privileged location on the mid slopes of the majestic Groot Drakenstein Mountain peak is twenty-eight kilometres from the Atlantic Ocean. Set in a unique microclimate of hot days and cool nights, sixteen of our forty-eight hectares are planted with Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot. Pounding Grape Wines

Chris Groenewald is a polymath of the South African wine scene, weaving together his background in theology, a deep expertise in blind wine tasting, and a “New Wave” approach to winemaking. Based in the Western Cape, Chris’s personal project, Pounding Grapes, reflects his philosophy of “naked, raw, and natural” wines that emphasise joyful character over any kind of technical rigidity. As the captain of the South African World Blind Wine Tasting team, Groenewald possesses a world-class palate in anyone’s language, yet his own wines are anything but academic. His portfolio, which includes vibrant releases like the Bringing Back The Joy Skin-Contact Sauvignon Blanc and the Heart Candy Pinotage, focuses on minimal intervention. These wines typically undergo natural fermentation, often utilising concrete eggs or old oak barrels to maintain fruit purity and texture without the mask of heavy wood.

Raats Family Wines

Chenin Blanc and Cabernet Franc. That's it. Over the decades, the Raats family has been dedicated to discovering where these two varietals thrive, with fantastic results. The Eden vineyards are two tiny blocks established just behind Bruwer Raats' Polkadraai house to discover what quality improvements can be achieved when aiming for excellence from the outset.

Radford Dale

Founded in 1998 by Alex Dale, Radford Dale set out across the Cape regions to find exciting vineyard parcels for their chosen specialist varietals. Since 2009, winemaking and viticulture have driven their work. An ambitious winery, Radford Dale are early champions for the potential of Cape Chenin Blanc, Elgin Pinot Noir, Swartland reds and maritime Stellenbosch Chardonnay. In late 2021 they purchased their first property, an organic wine farm in Elgin. They are the first producer in 20 years to plant Gamay Noir, and their Pinotage expressions are increasingly well received by the international sommelier set. Stylistically, the wines focus on varietal and site expression, with the team employing a low intervention ethos in the cellar. Alongside their local wines, Radford Dale also imports a whole range of wines from around the world, all available through Vinosity. For more information on pricing and availability, get in touch

KERSHAW WINES

We are not just a brand; we are a movement. A movement that believes in breaking the rules and defying conventions, while still paying homage to the art of winemaking. Franschhoek, a place of unrivalled natural beauty, is our home. It’s a place where tradition meets innovation, and the past meets the present. We are inspired by the spirit of this place, and we want to share it with the world.

Stark-Condé

Self-taught cellar master Jose Conde’s first attempt at winemaking was in 1998, when he chose to experiment with his favourite grape, Cabernet Sauvignon. As luck would have it, his father-in-law Hans Schroder farmed arguably the best Cabernet grapes in the region. Made with basic equipment and using traditional methods, the maiden vintage yielded just 2400 bottles; against the odds and to everybody's surprise, the wine went on to win 5 stars in the Platter's Wine Guide, was rated 92 points in Wine Spectator, and was selected by UK wine writer Oz Clarke as one of the Top 20 Wines of the Year.

VINEVENOM

SAMANTHA SUDDONS is a mix of many nationalities and not having lived in any place particularly long whilst growing up, and decided at the age of 21 to move to South Africa, with a backpack and no knowledge of winemaking, just a passion for consuming it. After 4 years of living in Stellenbosch and immersing herself in the world of organics and biodynamics working at Reyneke Wines, she moved to the Swartland region. She worked with Chris & Andrea Mullineux for a year before joining Terracura, Silwervis & Smiley for 4 years. In early 2020, during a global pandemic and a South Africa liquor ban, she decided to take the plunge and start her own winery, VINEVENOM. VINEVENOM focuses on the authentic expression of grape, terroir and biological aging. All the grapes are farmed sustainably following organic practices and harvested by hand. The objective is to farm for quality, not quantity. The vineyard sites are chosen based on grape suitability to soil and climate, with the Swartland being a hot, Mediterranean climate the focus is on Chenin blanc,Carignan, Touriga Nacional and Syrah.

Wolf & Woman Wines

Wolf & Woman is an exciting new project cr Jolandie Fouché, a Swartland native, whose goal is to produce wines that reflect her origins in a style “that I like to drink myself.” In Wolf & Woman Wines, she wants to use the knowledge sas gained through working as a winemaker in Austra, and California, as well as her home in South Africa. Many parallels can be drawn between women and wolves. Loyal, protective, wild and beautiful, both know the unknowable and sense the unseen. This range of wines is inspired by the fierce, untamed nature of these glorious creatures - and Clarissa Pinkola Estés, who first put it into words.“Some days I am more wolf than woman, and I am still learning how to stop apologising for my wild”.
